Bayou is a Sanctuary Dog.
He is from Washington State. He's a total sweetheart to humans and initially seemed to like other dogs.
We were told he hated windshield wipers and crates. He was transported from Washington to Texas via ground transport and on the first day they hit some rain. Bayou started barking at the wipers but when told "No" he laid down and went to sleep.
When other dogs joined the trip, Bayou was placed in a crate which was eventually crammed inside the transport van with 9 other crates containing other dogs. The transporter said he had absolutely no problem with him. He also told us that the boarding facility had only nice things to say about him.
Bayou came to us while we were down at our Galveston beach house where we crate the dogs we take down there with us. We had absolutely no problems getting him in or out of his crate. And while in his crate, he didn't fuss or paw at it.
Bayou is a big boy. We had a Neopolitan Mastiff once and Bayou has his jaw and his coloring but we believe he may have a little Pit in him as well. We really don't know his breeds for sure but we do know he's one big, strong, exuberant and friendly guy.
